I've been hosting my business site on WinHost for about 15 years now. I use Visual Studio to write and deploy .NET web/server code and use their SQL...

Server to store data. They made it easy to install a phpBB bulletin board. I didn't use any of their other fancy app installs (WordPress, etc), as I mostly just write stuff from scratch in Visual Studio. I think they are generous with their storage offerings for the price, I've typically gotten good customer service, and server response times are fast.

h others like Hostinger does. I took A2 Hosting's hosting package in November 2023 on a Black Friday sale but still got an expensive deal. I hosted my sites on their maximum limit of three subdomains. In August end 2024, I emailed them saying I wouldn't be renewing their hosting in November 2024 and deleted my credit card details from their site. Within 24 hours I got a bunch of emails saying my account had been terminated for violation of some TOS. Apparently, 9 months after I hosted my websites, they found evidence of phishing just after I had emailed them saying I won't be renewing in November. So as revenge they did not allow me to use their hosting services for the next three months although I had paid for 12 months. They are plain cheats and scammers. I regret using their services and plan on reporting them to regulatory and enforcement authorities.

I have had my website down 4 times in the last three months for more than 8 hours at a time. There is no redundancy whatsoever and this is there respo...

nse when I asked why their website did not go down just the customers. I have an international website with 30,000 students and this down time is too costly and ridiculous. "The blackhole routing is for a specific IP range. The Winhost main site, as well as many of my clients, are not hosted within that range." So their site does not go down... but everyone else does. WTF
